This is great. Looks like an Eames chair (my ultimate fantasy) had a baby with Bibendum. Click here for the full story. Thanks to Bullets for the heads up.

This is pretty interesting. Someone figured out that the head rest on the Eames Lounge Chair looks an awful lot like a skateboard deck. They took that concept and ran with it.
The result is a dozen or so mid-century modern inspired pieces constructed almost entirely out of skate decks and wheels.

My personal favorite is the table shown above based on the classic Noguchi Table.I don’t recommend ever having more than one piece in your house but it is a cool twist on some shit that’s already cool.

Sometimes I get a real reminder of why Fridays are so great. Aside from the fact that the new guys are trained enough that I can have weekends off again (I can has?), I also received some special deliveries today:

I’ve wanted one of these for years and it finally came today. I ended up with an accidental George Nelson vibe in the store having already purchased one of his spindle clocks and a couple bubble lamps. No one’s noticed yet but the first person that does will make my day.

And on the new product front, we just got some samples from French Ceramic company Revol who makes these great crumpled coffee cups. They should be available for purchase in a month or so.
Coming up this week we have a bunch more stuff including new Orisue, a couple pieces of new Reason gear and some WeSC with (hopefully) the presence of a new female model for you slugs to ogle.
